#followfriday

The first #hashtag I recalling seeing on twitter is #followfriday, though honestly, I paid it no mind since, when I started, I only had like two or three followers, of which one lived on the other side of the world, so when I was waking up she was going to bed. Never really tweeted with her much.  It wasn’t until one day when logged in at some point during the week, that I realized I had about ten to fifteen followers. Back then twitter was like a work email, I only check it once in a blue.   To my surprise it was all due to #followfriday.   That also help me get hooked on twitter, though I am now truly tired and even annoyed by #followfriday, now-a-days people just send out list of people to follow without reason, but I still enjoy the pay it forward idea of #followfriday.  What better way to open up one’s immediate circle than by recommending people to others, that they might be interested in.   So with that pay it forward mentality, I dedicate this post to twitter’s #followfriday, by not just spamming random names, but will tell you why you should follow these people.   These people are in no particular order of personal preference.

@nycitymama A blogging New Yorker, who seems to refer to me a her twitter hermanito, which is fine by me. A fellow latina, who’s always willing to assist and answer questions. In typical lovable latina fashion she is aware of all things New York. So if you have children her site is sure to give you ideas. Just be aware, DO NOT upset her. You won’t like her when she tweets angry, which doesn’t happen often, mostly when customer service sucks, where ever she may be at.

@core_appler Another from the Big Apple. While for many twitter works fine, he has been restrained by the 140 character limit, and while still present on twitter he has moved onto blogging. Do be aware that he is quite random, and goes from local, and national politics to bedroom politics, or what ever else my have attention at the moment. All in all a great person to follow. Adult content in an adult manner. So be prepared.

@KikiCatt One of my recent followers, and someone who I exchanged tweets on a regular basis. She’s supportive and just a all around cool person, even though she is not from the Big Apple.

@mochamomma I must say I truly adore her humor, I’m not sure she’s really an Assistant Principal. She’s just to much damn fun to follow. She also blogs, and though I do visit her blog which is very nice, her tweets are priceless. She’s like the kid in the back of the classroom, who must say what’s on his/her mind no matter what it may be. This is mocha.
