Thank you!

The last day of the year 2011, at 6:30am my maternal grandfather past away. I’ve only seen or spoken to him a hand full of times since connecting with my biological family.  I can’t say I knew him well, but he just like my adoptive parents left Cuba with kids in tow to find a better life for them.  So, I give thanks to him for making that choice.  Since had he not made that choice I would not be here.  This is my little way of saying Thank you Grand Pa!

In the pic from left to right, my little brother, myself, Grand Pa, and latest and newest addition my little sister.

I love his face! So full of soul there. Nice post and sorry about your loss. Now you have a sister to share more memories with. This reminds me when my great grandmother pass was the same day I found out I was pregnant with my son who is now 10 years old. I love how life gives blessings in disguise.

So sorry to have just read this news. You know, maybe God was just waiting for this moment, the picture that is, before he called on your Grand Dad. It’s a memory you all will certainly keep and cherish. God Bless You all!

Sorry about your loss Mateo. I’m so glad to know that you at least connected with him and that he got to see his grand kids connected before he passed away.
